Why is a balm better than a cream or a lotion?
Lotions and creams are emulsions, so the main ingredient is water. That is why you’ll see ‘aqua’ on the ingredients list. Some creams can contain up to 70% water which highly dilutes the active ingredients in the formula.
Water-based creams must contain preservatives to inhibit the growth of unwanted bacteria, yeast and moulds. These preservatives often cause skin reactions and irritations in those who have sensitive and reactive skin. Lotions and creams are light and easy to apply but their benefits in terms of hydration
and protection are transient and can be superficial. Creams tend to be thinner and less hydrating than balms, which are usually packed full with of enriching oils.
To truly moisturise and protect the skin and obtain deep joint relief a balm is the best solution.
So why choose our Flex Fx balm over other joint creams?
